Ingredients:

10 fresh jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon (optional, for filling)

1/4 cup pepper jelly (plus more for glazing)

20 slices of thin-cut bacon

Toothpicks for securing

Instructions:

Prepare the Jalapeños:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or set your grill to medium heat.

Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. (For less heat, rinse the jalapeños under cold water after seeding.)

Make the Filling:

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped bacon (if using), and pepper jelly. Mix until well combined.

Fill the Jalapeños:

Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, pressing gently to ensure the filling stays in place.

Wrap with Bacon:

Wrap each jalapeño half with a slice of bacon, starting at one end and overlapping slightly as you go. Secure the bacon with a toothpick if necessary.

Glaze with Pepper Jelly:

Brush a thin layer of pepper jelly over the bacon-wrapped jalapeños for a sweet and sticky glaze.

Cook the Poppers:

Oven Method: Place the poppers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.

Grill Method: Place the poppers on the grill over indirect heat. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crisp.

Serve:

Remove the toothpicks (if used) and serve the poppers warm. For extra sweetness, drizzle with more pepper jelly before serving.

These Loaded Pepper Jelly Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers bring a perfect balance of heat, creaminess, and smoky-sweet flavor, making them a hit at any gathering. Enjoy!
